Where do you go to my lovely ~ Peter Sarsdedt

I was recently contacted by Nikki on the behalf on Marks & Spencer to take part in a competition to style a dress from their collection, themed on what you would wear on holiday.

Now as I'm not much of a partier for places like Ibiza, & I get bored & restless after a few hours on a beach, a place like Paris is perfect as a holiday for me. I love visiting museums & art galleries or visiting historic places, I love sipping coffee, long walks & eating good food whilst I am on holiday so I chose the pretty parisian capital as my destination.

I think that this little collared dress is simple but tres chic for a day out in Paris. Comfortable yet stylish whilst visiting the Louvre, nibbling Macaroons at Laduree, or having a sunny stroll along the Seine.

I love the glasses & the woven shoes from topshop & adore the delicate detail on the leather collar. With this outfit being within a £70 budget, I love the outcome.

Thursday

Supersoaker ~ Kings of Leon

Absolutely nothing has been going on over here. Considering it's the summer holidays & I don't go back to working in schools til September, I have done nothing but work evenings. It's really no fun being a grown up ;(

I haven't got any holidays lined up with friends but at least I do have the one luxury that is V Festival next. I cannot wait!

Meanwhile, I bought this pretty blue dress from ASOS the other day & have been putting together little outfits & how I could wear it. I can't get enough of that blue colour! So here's a little set on some things from ASOS that I would pair with it.

Saturday

Big Jet Plane ~ Angus Stone

I recently bought a pair of short cowboy boots. I love them. My favourite is them paired with a lace dress & a bright simple necklace. As I live in the countryside I find that they feel & look 10x better. I love how they can be casually paired with jeans, blouse & blazer & still look effortlessly chic! They are my new favourite summer purchase.

Is everyone enjoying the heatwave?

VFEST

I'M GOING TO V FESTIVAL!

I booked tickets the other day for me & a friend to go to VFest! Lets just say I am super excited. I am a HUGE Kings Of Leon fan & they are headlining so I had to go. I have a strong love affair with festivals, see here, & V Fest has to  be one of my favourite festivals, I love the atmosphere & more importantly, I love the Bacardi tent. You will find me here if you go to V ;)

V Festival 2013 Day 1

Day one

my outfits are always simple for festivals as I prefer being comfy. I will be sporting my ever present Aviators & Hunter wellies. I went for a change this year & opted for the shorter boots.

Day Two

An aztec dress too make myself feel a bit more summery, some cute heartshaped glasses & of course a Bacardi Mojito!

Is anyone else going to VFest? Let me know :D

Monday

 Fantasy ~ MS MR

My go to colour has always been black. Although some people find this incredibly boring, I find that it is the colour that I am most comfortable wearing. I find you can always look simple but chic & can make a simple black outfit stand out with a pop of colour when accessorising. I however prefer to team a black ensemble with a statement necklace, or gold jewellery paired with a large black bag.

My inspiration for a simple chic outfit:

Here are some of my chosen items from the online shop Persunmall, which I find help create the simple black look.

My current wishlist!

Wednesday

La La La ~ Naughty Boy Ft. Sam

This is my go to outfit for the moment.

Pale blue jeans paired with a light strappy top. In hot weather I never now what to wear for cover so I thought a Floral blazer makes a difference to a plain outfit but can always be taken off when it gets too hot.

I love gold & white sandals for summer, they look great on the beach or by the pool.

I find that Aviator sunglasses suit my face shape the most but I can't resist a set of strange sunnies & these Hexagonal ones from Topshop are too cool.

& finally a pretty bag, I just wish that I did have a pale pink Rocco bag :(

Saturday

Royals ~ Lorde

I was recently gifted this statement necklace by a friend & it's safe to say, I'm in love! I'm not big on blingy jewellery but I love statement necklaces paired with a simple outfit. I think it can make the outfit simple, chic & frankly a little more interesting.

Here are a few statement necklaces off Pinterest, I love the way they are styled!

Anyone have a particular piece of statement jewellery that they love?

Friday

I love it ~ Icona Pop

This half term has been great. I went home to see friends, catch up on gossip, see films at the cinema, drinking & eating & managing to soak up a few rays of sunshine. It can be pretty tiring working from 9am til 11pm most days & so I tried to cram in as much as I could before I go back to it all!

Lately I have been lusting over all things Olymtpia Le Tan. What could be better than a cute alternative to your favourite pieces of Literature?
My favourites have to be the Great Gatsby, Lolita & Madame Bovary as they are such good reads haha.

How cute are the vegetable clothes? I would love the dress for summer!
