Jessica ~ Major Lazer x Vampire Weekend

If I haven't mentioned before, I am a sucker for the National Trust. For those who don't know, the National Trust is an organization that buys & retains old buildings in the u.k i.e castles, manors, victorian/edwardian houses & beautiful gardens. I was basically brought up in this organization, as a kid, on the weekends my parents would pack a picnic & we would set off for the day heading to a castle ruins or a gigantic manor house filled with edwardian furniture. I loved it. I always pretended I was a princess or on some kind of adventure as soon as I stepped on the grounds & quite honestly, all these years later I still do.

I finally had a day off work a few sundays ago & me & my family set off to an old 1900s country cottage. As soon as I entered the little house I immediately pictured myself in an Agatha Christie novel.

Does anybody else love the National Trust?

Wednesday

Let Her Go ~ Passenger

Lately I have really been drawn to the colours white, gold & light pink. I have even gone so far as to think about  redecorating my room in these colours. MY room needs a major revamp as it is full of junk & is in desperate need of new furniture.

So I  made a n inspiration board on Pinterest & selected a few of the images  from there to help me get started on designing!

So I cannot wait until I can start purchasing unusual accessories to help decorate my room. I will be buying the furniture from Ikea & for decor, I will be turning to trusty Etsy, flea market & auctions!

Flaws ~ Bastille

The other day I went on a small college trip to an old victorian town called Blists Hill. It's a little village that has been preserved for many years, the houses, shops & work places haven't changed including everything inside them.  When I got there I had to go straight to the bank  & change my "modern" money for pennies & pieces of silver as thats all they would accept in the village.

The village goers & shop keepers all wore victorian clothes & we had the traditional victorian cooked fish & chips washed down with Fentimans Old Cola. So tasty.

There is also a very small carnival with a few rides for kids & even a coconut shy! Don't get too excited ;)

On one of the streets there was a small shop with a lady who sold her wares which consisted of molded plaster in tudor roses, animals & all sorts!

I couldn't leave without buying something!

I even made a new friend!!
