Paris

I have decided I want a holiday & Paris was my first choice, the first place that came to mind. Everything I love can be found there food, art, music, clothes, literature, history & antiques. I have been hundreds of times before, to Disney, Notre dame, the eiffel tower but now I want to go & actually see Paris & as I am going on my own It's going to be a little adventure!

Of course I want all my friends to go but we're so different, this kind of quiet holiday doesn't appeal to them & a long, messy weekend in Ibiza, Malia or Magaluf just does not appeal to me in the slightest. So we are going our seperate ways when it comes to holidays this year.

I probably won't be going until this time next year but it's best to get it all sorted out. Maybe I'll treat it as my 21st birthday present to myself. Forever Alone.

Here are a few things on my list to do:

Number 1: The Louvre

I have wanted to visit ever since I knew what this place was! I am a huge fan of old art & it would be lovely to see the Mona Lisa!

Number 2: Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery

This cemetery is full of old famous names! I want to visit as Edith Piaf & Oscar Wilde are buried there! It's tradition to kiss the tomb of Oscar Wilde with lipstick... I'm not sure why but it looks cool.

Number 3: Notre Dame

I have been here before, when I was little I lit lots of little candles for my family & friends it was quite sweet! But recently I have read Victor Hugo's The Hunchback of Notre Dame & Les Miserables (Holy moly I can't wait for the film!)& want to take it all in.

Number 4: The Eiffel Tower

Okay I have been here too but I won't lie, I refused to go to the top. As soon as my momma said it had glass floors my phobia of heights kicked in & wussed out. Next time I'll go all the way to the tops I promise ;)
P.s the crepes they sell underneath the tower are insanely good! If you like pancakes smotheres in Nutella then you have to visit here.

Number 5: Versailles

I have watched Marie Antoinette far too many times not to visit again! I went when I was two years old but back then I obviously just wasn't in to the surroundings.

Number 6: Monets Garden

No trip to Paree is complete without seeing the beautiful & inspirational gardens that brought Monets paintings to life. I would love to visit!

Number 7: Les Invalides

Les Invalides is the home to Napoleon Bonaparte's tomb (I told my friends this & they thought it was a homage to Napoleon Dynamite & weren't impressed.Oh my). It's a grand building & a goldmine if you're into history.

Number 8: The Ritz

Unfortunatly I will not be staying here (Cries) It's waaay out of my budget haha but it's worth a visit. I especially want to visit the Chanel Suite which housed Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel for thrirty seven years. After she died The Ritz turned her room into a museum for visitors. It looks fantastic.

Also one of the bars has quite a history. The Hemingway bar, so named after Ernest, was a favourite of the writers & fellow writer F.Scott.Fitsgerald. Hemingway wrote The sun also rises & For whom the bell tolls sat in the bar & also invented the bloody mary.

Number 9: Le Musee d'Orsay

Another museum filled with scluptures & art. Right up my street.

Number 10: The Arc de Triomphe

You simply have to visit this little landmark on a trip to paree!

Number 11: Laduree

Of course a trip to the real Laduree would go down a treat ;)

Number 12: Les Puces de Saint Ouen

Known as Les Puces (The Fleas) this is one of Frances best flea markets & I can already see myself coming home laden with treasure. I may have to take an extra case just for this place.

So this little holiday can't come fast enough! I't won't be for another year but I need to start planning & saving. This sounds like heaven, I prefer this to (pardon the phrase) throwing up in Malia or Magaluf, but each to their own haha ;)

Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on visiting Paris? Any good hotels or places to visit? Your views are most welcome haha.
